We checked into the hospital at 7:15 and by 8:00
they had given her the pill to induce her labor by 12:00 nothing
not one little contraction.
so they decide to give her something stronger
They soon attached the IV and still at 2:10 nothing
The DR tells us they are thinking of sending us home,
And try again tomorrow. He was going to talk to the other DR's
And make a decision at 5:00. Well at 2:20 she felt a little pain
not a contraction though, just a little pain and finally at 2:40
She had her first one and it was a good one too so when it ended
I looked at the clock and waited for the next.
2 minutes later again a very short one then
Another 2 minutes a very short one again.
Now IM thinking this is a side affect of the medicine.
They had warned us this could happen.

Just before 3:00, our nurse came in to say good-bye,
Because her shift was ending and was saying how happy
She was that she finally was having some contractions
But after she left my wife was in some real pain
It was then that I saw the same look she had when my daughter was born
With that the new nurse walked in and as I was saying
I think this is it. My wife says her water just broke.
The nurse asks if it was OK if she checked to see.
I told her yes, she then had me get the nurses station on the intercom
And have them stay on the line to hear what was going on,

as she was putting on her gloves my wife started to yell
She had to push. we told her not to as I looked down
I could see my son coming out I grabbed her leg in my arm
And lifted as the nurse came running into the room
grabbed the other one and did the same

With that we told her to push and out he came
3 minutes from the time the nurse first walked in,
to the time she gave birth. Thank god she came when she did
or I would have had to delivery this baby (god help us)
I've been in the delivery room a few times before
I never saw anything like this before
Everybody was laughing and making jokes patting everybody on the back,
The nurses all seven of them started singing happy birthday to A J
It was like New Year Eve I thanked Lori for catching A J.
And said you never lost that smile to which she replied are you kidding?
I was $%#&@ in my pants.

The DR walk in ten minutes later and joined the party
Too kidding around, making jokes.
I still don't know if I pay her or him lol
Both mother and baby are doing great
And most likely will come home tomorrow afternoon
